During your winter vacation at Palmquist Farm, be sure to check out these other local Wisconsin attractions. Most of them are just a short 20-30 minute drive away!
These towns have great restaurants, cafes, shops, and a variety of activities within easy driving distance of Palmquist Farm:
Timm's Hill Ski Trail (15 minutes away by car), is the highest point in Wisconsin. It has many miles of groomed cross country ski trails, rated from beginner to advanced.
Minocqua Winter Park (30 minutes away by car) is a premier ski touring center with 30 miles of ski trails.
Rib Lake Ski and Snowshoe Trails (30 minutes away by car) is close to the Timm's Hill trail and is partly on the Ice Age Trail. Its 15 miles of trails range from beginner to advanced in difficulty.

Besse's on Clear Lake is located at W6095 US Hwy 8 in Tomahawk. The food is consistently good and the atmosphere is quaint and cozy. Located on a beautiful lake with an outside deck that you can sit on while waiting for your meal. Call 715-453-2339 for more information.
Bonnie’s Café, located on Lake Ave. Phillips WI, is a hole in the wall diner with a small town eatery vibe.
Four Seasons Antique Mall, located in Marshfield, is Central Wisconsin’s largest antique mall.
Phillips, WI has a nice small town main street with lots of antique and Northwoods shops. Check out the Tamarack Shack for antiques or The Crazy Loon for outdoor adventure goods. Go here for a compete list of shops.
Tomahawk, WI also has a great main street with shops. Our favorite is Traditions, located at 214 West Wisconsin Ave. Tomahawk, WI 54487. It’s more of a junk shop than serious antique retailer, but you can find some great stuff for a great price. Go here for all shop listings.
Homespun Coffee & Crafts offers a variety of coffee drinks, ice cream, and breakfast and lunch items. They are also a gift shop.
Hill of Beans Coffee Shop near Ogema and Timm's Hill features many different hot drinks, including coffee, espresso, tea, and hot chocolate, plus hot sandwiches and soup.
What’s Brewin, located at 16 W Ave, Tomahawk, WI 54487. Great place for coffee or tea. Sit by yourself while reading a book or browsing the web. The décor is shabby chic, old recycled tables and chairs. Everything they serve is homemade and made from scratch.

Nicolet Players in Rhinelander is an educational community theater company. The group performs several shows throughout the year.
Hodag Lanes in Rhinelander offers a full-service bowling alley complete with bar and grill.
